We are currently looking to add Cumbrian subjects to the library, both photography and paintings, which are accepted on a non-exclusive basis (you retain the right to sell the images elsewhere).
The images are sold in three markets - printed publications, web and electronic use, and as display prints. We aim to build very wide-ranging subject matter, for example people, wildlife, aeriel, tourist attractions, landscape, specialist collections and so on.
The copyright always remains with the photographer or artist, and you can choose the licensing model under which reproduction rights are sold - see Pricing. We also have a retail art gallery outlet in Keswick, and will consider selling contributors work there subject to gallery policies.
As a way of strengthening our Cumbrian specialist brand, we hope to build good relationships with contributors by promoting them on this site with individual features, including them in our gallery's Visiting Artists' programme, maintaining contact with information about new developments in the photography and picture library worlds, and advising which subjects are needed by the library. Files supplied must be of professional quality. If you don't have the high quality scanning or art copying facilities needed for this, we have a scheme for helping photographers and painters who join our library with greatly reduced file origination costs.
For people who sell their work through the library, or our retail outlet in Keswick, all Scanning and Artwork Copying services are available at very reduced rates.
Contributors can also make themselves available for commissions, and artists can sell original art through us.
Please Contact us for a discussion.
